Freshwater Connection station includes a museum, and pioneer cottage which provide visitors with an interesting and educational experience.

The Museum, dedicated to the building of the railway and provides an interpretive replication of the railway and includes an interactive educational display on the history of Cairns and the construction of the Kuranda Scenic Railway.


Theaterette

Theatrette

The genuine railway worker's cottage, was home to Red Lynch, the Foreman who oversaw the building of the first section of the line. This cottage now includes a Theatrette showing the planning and construction of the Kuranda Scenic Railway.
